Girls Team Captain

Warley would like to congratulate 'Claire Fielding' on becoming this years girls team captain. The team captains have been neglected over the past number of years, but we are now reinstating the position, so they can help in the running of the teams.

Aston Training

 We are looking to expand upon the number of swimmers attending Aston University training. If anyone is in need of a lift for the session, please ask one of our committee members and a lift for your child can be arranged. We are always willing to help our members. It is also very important we attend and support the sessions. The pool itself is only situated some 15 minutes away from Smethwick Swimming Centre.

Club History Update

We have updated the club history by adding two photographs from 1951, the Warley mens and ladies team race. If anyone, past and present knows of any of the swimmers or the coach, please let us know.

Wombourne Millennium Gala Results 21st January 2012

 Saturday evening saw our Junior team swim its first gala of the New Year. The teams we were up against were: Heath Town, Wolverhampton Masters, Oldbury, Wombourne and Broadway. The official individual race results, at the time of writing, have not been recieved, but the final results were as follows:

1st:       Wombourne               224

2nd:      Broadway                   204

3rd=:   Warley WASPS         197

3rd=:    Oldbury                        197

4th:       Wolves Masters         117

5th:       Heath Town                 81

All swimmers performed and behaved admirably. For a number of swimmers this was their first ever gala and again, performed superbly! We also had a number of key swimmers unavailable, so this result shows, yet again, we have improved upon last year and we continue to move in the right direction. Once the race details have been recieved a full report will be posted on the website.

"Keep up the good work, keep training and keep performing to a high standard!!"
