Saturday 28th June. Warley Wasps travelled to Stechford Cascades Saturday for the 3rd and final round of the Nuneaton Junior swimming league against Gloucester City, Northampton 'B', Braunstone, Boldmere 'B', Stourbridge 'B'. Again the same problem was to appear as in the other rounds with a lack of 9yr swimmers the night was always going to be a tough one. The only wins of the night came from Joe Hamilton (10yrs 1 length fly 19.17s) and Rebecca Beddowes (11yrs 2 lengths fly 38.64s) but there were 2nd place finishes for Bailey Wyer, Katie Loxton and Chloe Lowe who recorded the same time as the winner but was awarded 2nd place by the touch judge. There were some pbs, the pick of them was Rebecca Hampton who swam 2 lengths back in 42.24s taking over 1.5seconds off her previous best time which she set a week ago. The final points were Boldmere 242pts, Braunstone 238pts, Northampton 198pts, Gloucester 160pts, Warley 99pts and Stourbridge 68pts, this meant that Warley avoided finishing bottom of the league but were still relegated to div3.
